Hello!

I recently had a day out in Lincoln with my daughter and before we went I wanted to make a little journal for the day. Just something simple and light to fit in my bag. A really simple but effective looking journal to make is a single section dos a dos book. Meaning back to back, you have two text blocks (or in this case single sections) that are essentially connected with three covers. You can find a really good YouTube tutorial here It’s been a nice and quick project to get back into the habit of making books.

I had just used some A5 sized watercolour paper, folded in half for each section and then sewn on a card cover. I stamped the design on the covers.

Lincoln is a lovely city and we had plenty to do while visiting. I just wish I’d taken more photos because I only took a few pictures all day! I keep forgetting I’ve revived my blog while I’m out and about, I need to get back into the habit of taking more photographs.
